Project Name: Wappapello Gatehouse Renovation
Owner: United States Army Corps of Engineers
Client: Shannahan Crane
Our recently completed Corp of Engineers project is a prime example of why Acme Erectors is the clear choice for your next equipment install. Our competitors bid the project to completely remove and replace the roof of the building to rig and lift the 75 ton crane. Acme engineered a plan to complete the work without removing and replacing the existing roof. The result was a $60,000 cost savings to our client.
The weight of the hoist was 18,500lb and was placed 35ft off the ground on two new Superior Crane girders. Additionally, there was less than 3ft of rigging headroom and an opening of only 12 feet by 9 feet to access the space. Needless to say, work space and access very constraining, but Acme’s team planned, engineered, and executed the project flawlessly.
