Name:  Aron Clay

Title:  President and Owner of Acme Erectors, Inc.

Education:  Purdue University – B.S. Construction Engineering and Management and Saint Louis University – MBA

Work history:  I began my career in 1993, as a project engineer at Tarlton Corporation in St. Louis.  I gained valuable knowledge about the construction industry by solving problems for construction managers, general superintendents, and subcontractors.

In 1997, I left Tarlton to become a project manager at Acme Erectors.  In my early years at Acme, I worked to acquired jobs and managed them from start to final close out.  These projects were mainly steel, precast, and equipment fabrication and installation.  I also helped Acme get its start in heavy wood timber construction through selling and managing the Cupples Station renovation project, which is now home of the Westin St. Louis Hotel.  My innovation and dedication paid off, and I was promoted to vice-president, where I successfully managed the steel division of Acme for several years.

In 2005, I became president and owner of Acme Erectors, which is the position I currently hold today.  My main focus is managing and building a team to consistently deliver a high level of service and excellent product quality that I have built my reputation on over the past twenty years.  I am hands on with projects when needed but allow my project managers the latitude to make decisions on their own.  I enjoy watching my employees grow and succeed and am continually striving to make Acme the best steel erection subcontractor in the business.

Favorite thing about working at Acme:  I love strategic development for internal team leaders and external customers.  I really enjoy when a new opportunity that has complex challenges presents itself.  Solving these challenges with simple and innovative ideas gives me a rush.

Professional affiliations:  Erectors and Riggers Association, AGC, Bi-State Fabricators Association, AISC, PCI, CFMA, EO
